Katie DelRocco

Katie fuses her passion for Biblical studies, writing, and performance to create original works that help modern audiences unearth their own stories in the pages of the Bible. Her works examine the hard questions and dark places of life with a healthy dose of humor and insight.

Her short film portrayal of Mary the Mother of Jesus, Pierced and Perfected, has received multiple awards in film festivals across the country, and her latest project, a 40 minute entirely self-produced film, The Birth, puts a modern spin on the Christmas story inspired by theologian Frederick Beuchner. She has graced stages across the Southeastern and Midwest US, as well as internationally in Ecuador, the Bahamas, and Germany. Her greatest satisfaction comes from hearing her art makes audience members feel seen.

Currently residing in Nashville with her husband T.J. and cat, Gandalf the Grey, Katie pursues a versatile career encompassing stage, film and commercial acting, occasional costume and interior design projects, and her enduring passion for teaching - out of the classroom. She a proud alumnus of Piedmont University with an Interdisciplinary degree in Theatre and English. Her biggest joy (and biggest job) currently is being a mom to her 1 year old.
